A new STA Discussion Paper dives into the new EU Taxonomy Classification system and how it can steer Europe towards a more sustainable future for transport.

On 21 & 22 June 2023, STA attented a kick-off meeting in Brussels (Belgium) of a new EU-funded Research & Innovation Action called KEYSTONE.

As the Communication & Dissemination manager of the EU-funded SCALE-UP project, the Smart Transportation Alliance attended the project’s General Assembly on 18-20 April 2023 in Madrid, Spain. All 23 partners untied at the Madrid International Lab - a coworking for local startups and SMEs.

Several of STA’s members met for an in-person meeting at the offices of Alteatica in Madrid, Spain on 16 March 2023. The meeting served in comparing each other’s roadmaps for the upcoming months and years and to kick-start a closer collaboration and initiate a task force.

One of the working groups within STA’s Technical Committee (TC2) on Safety & Security has just concluded a long-term work to make Road Restraint Systems (RRS) safer for the future.

Several STA members attended the Global Mobility Call in Madrid (Spain), which is a new conference that took place for the first time on 14-16 June 2022.

The STA special sub-committee on Road Restraint Systems (RRS) and barriers for interurban road travel has successfully concluded their work over 2 years on their testing and evaluation of road barriers.

STA represented the SCALE-UP Project on urban mobility at last weeks’ GoMobility Expo in Irún, Spain.

With the start of the new year 2022, STA is delighted to welcome a new member into our organisation, who will be joining the Technical Committee 2 - Smart Security & Safety.
