9th STA GENERAL MEETING: DR JOSÉ F. PAPÍ REAPPOINTED AS STA PRESIDENT

On 2 February 2024, STA Members united online for the 9th STA Annual General Meeting. The participants gathered virtually to address several issues, review the progress made in 2023, ratify decisions and agree on future steps of the organisation.

Dr Jose F. Papí, STA’s President, opened his speech by thanking all STA Members for attending and for their continuous support over these years. During the meeting, STA Members were given a detailed presentation of STA’s progress in 2023, highlighting its solid performance, and promising a firm foundation to grow our activities and improve the methods, technologies and standards associated to transportation infrastructures.

The Members unanimously reappointed for another two-year term Dr Jose F. Papí as STA President, under whose leadership the organisation has experienced strategic growth and progress in key areas since its foundation in December 2014.

9th STA General Meeting

Dr Papí, a renowned international transport expert leader for almost 30 years with an outstanding academic background and expertise in leading positions in prestigious organisations both in the EU and beyond, will continue to lead from the front line with purpose, passion, and empathy to improve transportation infrastructure with a focus on the safety and security.

For yet another year STA Members reinforce their commitment, united in the pursuit of excellence in transportation infrastructures.
