HIPEBA
HIgh PErformance steel for safer and more competitive safety BArriers
HIPEBA (“High Performance Steel for Safer and more Competitive Safety Barriers”) is funded under the Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS) framework programme and consists of 5 Work Packages. The Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS) provides funding for high-quality research projects that support the competitiveness of the European Coal and Steel industries.
With the purpose of supporting this leadership, HIPEBA is a ground-breaking initiative relevant to the maintenance and new construction of EU road infrastructures, as the latest and safest technology must become available to European road users.
Brochures
The first brochure focuses on presenting the overall project objectives, the expected outcomes and the partners participating in the project. It paints a holistic picture of the Hipeba vision and goals.
The second brochure presents the first results of a series of critical tests assessing and ranking different high performance steel grades for Road Restraint Systems (RRS).
The third brochure presents an overview of the research performed during the entire project cycle and provides the final results of the test carried out during previous months.
