A new vision for Road Networks in post-Covid mobility
A new STA Technical Report points out needs, challenges and potentials to render roads safe, green and conntected.
The Smart Transportation Alliance (STA) has released the Technical Report “Safe, green and connected roads for post-Covid mobility”. The report summarises the key conclusions of a Proposal Plan for “Safe, Green and Connected Roads” in Spain.
The Proposal Plan explores the investments needed to render Spanish roads better prepared for the future as well as the direct and indirect job positions this Plan would create.
The Plan has been authored and published by the Spanish Road Association (AEC – Asociación Española de la Carretera).

STA Members set the focus for the current year at the first General Meeting
The STA 2021 Work Plan includes three main objectives for all Members and Technical Committees: increase the number of reports published, extend the training offering and revise the STA Annual Conference format.
A special emphasis has been put on rendering the association’s training courses accessible by turning them into virtual events. As a preliminary topic for this year’s annual conference, Members chose the overarching topic of decarbonisation.

The Smart Transportation Alliance has decided to revise and relaunch its’ website and bi-monthly newsletter. After 5 years, the organisation has decided to opt for a more modern layout.
